As a licensed clinical psychologist, I specialize in treating adults with trauma through a compassionate approach while empowering you to be the best version of yourself. Each session, I will show up to the room as my authentic Self while offering attunement and safety.
I first started working with individuals with trauma as a floor staff at a residential treatment center for children. These children had experienced severe abuse and I wanted to have the tools to be able to do more. This led me to earn my master’s and doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University: California School of Professional Psychology, San Diego. During my doctorate program, I pursued my passion of helping individuals work through their trauma in multiple different settings such as private practice, hospital, treatment centers, and school settings. What I learned in all of these is that, life can be very hard and at times, it feels like one big coping skill. So let me start off by saying I'm proud of you. You have taken a very positive step by deciding to seek therapy and change your current paradigm.
Registered Psychological Associate
RPA:94028638
I am currently a completing my internship at Paradigm Psychology while completing my doctorate in both psychotherapy and Jungian psychoanalysis, bringing experience in supporting clients through various challenges, including relationship issues, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, issues pertaining to sexual orientation and identity, grief and loss, childhood sexual assault, addiction, and early relational trauma. Additionally, I aim to address deep unconscious behavior patterns, spiritual exploration, and navigating midlife and later adult life transitions.
My approach is grounded in the belief that much of life's suffering holds an inner meaning, waiting to be uncovered and understood. Often, where we experience the most pain is where the seed of new development and personal growth lies.
I hold a master’s degree in Public Health, where my research explored indigenous medicine and altered states of consciousness to treat anxiety and depression on Native American reservations. My current dissertation examines the intersection of indigenous wisdom and modern psychotherapy.
I strive to create a safe, comfortable environment where unconscious motivations can be explored and integrated into conscious awareness. I advocate for a holistic, non-pathologizing approach to mental health, using depth psychology to reconnect with the soul and spirit. With two years of private practice experience, I now work as a registered psychological associate under the supervision of Dr. Kayla Bunderson. Additionally, I collaborate with the Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) as a contributing author and researcher on the colonization and commodification of Indigenous practices.
